Image  Perhaps appropriately for one so obscurely-titled, Quantum of Solace is a rather odd duck as Bond films go. The first direct sequel in franchise history, it picks up mere minutes after the close of Casino Royale, with Daniel Craig’s badass, brokenhearted superspy attempting to ferry his prize to a safehouse in hopes of learning more about the organization that led his lady love to her tragic demise.

Didn’t I Blow Your Mind This Time: A Review of the New Kids on the Block Concert PDF Print E-mail

ImageOctober 27th, 2008, will, until further notice, be referred to as The Best Night of My Life.  I did not get married, have a baby, or meet anyone famous… but I got to see the New Kids on the Block play to a sold-out, screeching, 99% female crowd at Madison Square Garden.  And let me tell you – it was awesome.

Lisa’s Festival Weekend PDF Print E-mail

This weekend, I had the surreal experience of attending a legitimate film festival in my hometown.  I’m not from TriBeCa or Toronto or Cannes and there was no red carpet, but the 9th annual FilmColumbia Festival of Film (www.filmcolumbia.com) does bring in some big-deal movies to the small town of Chatham in upstate New York.  The Crandall Theater on Main Street was built in 1928 as a vaudeville theater and has only one screen and two toilets, but it can handle being packed to the brim with out-of-towners for four days straight every October.  I am pleased to offer my insider’s perspective and reviews exclusively on IndustryNexus.com, mostly because my mom’s a volunteer and got me free tickets.
