PopSugar is looking for an in-house full-time fashion and beauty researcher and writer for a slate of new web shows: to see examples of content please go to www.sugarinc.com and www.popsugar.tv. This person will work closely between the fashion and beauty producers and the on-air hosts who they will be writing and researching for. Person should have a background and interest working in the fashion or beauty industry and should be current on celebrity and pop-culture news.
Person will be able to both write and research a variety of fashion topics ranging from: celebrity style, designer looks for less, street fashion to runway and couture, shopping and trends. This person will be familiar with the top shopping and ecommerce sites and have a full arsenal of resources at their disposal.
In the beauty sector, this candidate will be able to both research and write topics that range from: makeup and cosmetic trends, spas and salons, celebrity beauty looks, minute makeover solutions, home spa remedies, organic and natural beauty ideas, quick and cheap beauty secret weapons, and hot beauty products and treatments new on the market. Any personal contacts you can bring to the table are a major plus.
Research duties will also include finding the right supporting images and video clips for the above web show topics. This candidate will be working with image sourcing, and spend several hours scouring websites, blogs, etc for the perfect photos to support the content.
Pay is based on experience, and there is room for upward mobility in the company. Please note if you are also interested in hosting on your cover letter.
