Chapter 11: A Temp of One PDF Print E-mail
Written by Brandon Weatherly

Don't think for a second that I would drop you, kind reader, into the "shit" without one final word of advice to take with you -  a field companion for my soldiers, my troops, you folks the Temps who are filling in all the cracks and keeping this monstrosity of a business afloat and running.  Most importantly, I'd like to emphasize the survival aspects of war and how similarly it parallels temping.

This manual on S.U.R.V.I.V.A.L is an actual, U.S. Army Field thing according the interwebs.

It's called the "FM 21-76 U.S. Army Survival Manual."  I happened upon it while searching for something else (which had nothing to do with Rihanna's nipples btw).  For our purposes here I have essentially just "re-purposed" the intro to it.  It pretty much says everything you need to know about the mind-set of temp work.  Like you, it fills in some cracks here and there.  It reiterates a lot of what I have suggested to you in previous Industry Nexus columns, but does so in that concise true blue military fashion.  Who else could turn "survival" into a massive acronym?  That being said, I have made some alterations...

Even with parts of the document blocked out by military censors, the beauty of it is that I only had to come up with a few "substitutions"  for the terminology already present in the manual's intro.  It seems to work again and again.  For example, "battlefield" becomes "office", "survival" (ironically enough) becomes "temp" or "temping", etc.  I replaced these terms with ones I cut out of my girlfriend's magazines.  Don't ask me why I got all arts and crafty.  I'm a sick fuck after a few drinks and using scissors and glue seemed appealing at the time.  Check it out.  Print it and keep it in your pocket or man/woman purse.  Refer to it and learn it well.  It's been a pleasure serving with you all.  Until next time...

Best of luck,

Brandon

Some time before, I did need to buy a house for my organization but I didn't
earn enough money and couldn't purchase anything. Thank heaven my mother adviced
to try to get the loan from trustworthy creditors. Thus, I acted so and used to
be satisfied with my credit loan.
