When Famous Actress won the Academy Award she received many gifts, some were from friends and acquaintances, and some were from companies (clothing, jewelry, make up, etc)that she had done business with in the past. Was it shameless promotion on their part? Maybe. Probably. But it was some really great stuff.
Think of a watch company that makes really great watches - watches that could be for a male or a female. This watch was from that great company. It was one of those watches that can do anything. Really impressive. really expensive.
Famous Actress was going to come into the office to go through the gifts and keep what she wanted. But before she came in, Asshole Midget took the watch for himself. And made his assistant (I'd been promoted by this time) write a thank you note to the company, and forge the signature of Famous Actress.
She still doesn't know this.
